Lee Roy Johnson, Jr.,86, passed away Monday Oct. 29, 2012 in the McLeod Hospice House after an illness.
Mr. Johnson was born in Chase City, VA, a son of the late Lee Roy Johnson, Sr. and the late Mozelle Parker Johnson. He was a retired truck driver for Wellman Industries, a member of the Johnsonville First Baptist Church, and was an Honorary Legionaire. He loved fishing and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Marian Tatum Johnson of the home; daughters, Patsy Johnson, Ann Edwards (Harold) and Joyce Stone (Steve); grandchildren, Hal Edwards (Ashley), Kyle Edwards (Kendal), Scot Stone, Lance Stone, Colin Stone, and Ethan Stone; great-grandchildren, Blayne Edwards, Mary Ainsley Edwards, Jayce Edwards and Matthew Stone; sister, Shirley Lambert (Steve) and Helen J. Jones of Richmond, VA; brother Clarence Johnson of Albuquerque, NM; special brother-in-law, Maynard Tatum.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday October 31, 2012 in the Johnsonville First Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be in the Lake Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Johnsonville First Baptist Church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday Oct. 31, 2012
