Mr. Charles Michael Collins, I, age 67, passed away May 2, 2013, at his residence.

Born January 27, 1946, in Conway, SC, Mr. Collins was the son of the late Theodore Jackson and Alice Young Collins. He attended Conway and Hemingway schools and worked as a pipewelder. He attended Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed metal fabrication, fishing, and hunting.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Ruby Collins; grandchildren, Christopher Creel, Brianna Creel, Ricky Creel, Jr., Veronica Creel, “Little” Ricky Creel, and Katlin Collins; great-grandchildren, Harley Creel and Memphis Creel; sisters, Jackie (Jimmy) Pope, Mary Langley, and Queen (Donald) Langley; brothers, Bill (Barbara) Collins, Winston (Linda) Collins, Hoyt Collins, and Terry (Kathy) Collins; daughter-in-law, Teresa Collins; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Collins was predeceased by his sons, Charles Michael Collins, II, and Ricky Creel; 4 brothers, and 1 sister.

Funeral services, conducted by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Soul’s Chapel Cemetery in Brittons Neck. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00PM until 9:00PM Friday, May 03, 2013.
