Alan Bryan Kelly of Johnsonville, SC died August 3, 2021.

Born December 18, 1928 in Kingsburg, he was a son of the late Newman Perry Kelly and Vera White Fleming Kelly. Alan attended Clemson Agricultural College and served in the US Army, 1st Cavalry Division, 16th Recon. Company from 1952 to 1953. Alan worked in the Florence, Sumter and Johnsonville areas in the textile and wholesale food industries until he retired in 1996. He was an Elder at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church and a past member of VFW and American Legion.

Alan is survived by one brother, Gene Fleming Kelly (Virginia), a nephew, Michael Gene Kelly, niece Karen Kelly Eubanks, grandniece Kelly Farrell Howell (Nick), and great-grand niece Mollie Shea Howell, all of West Columbia, SC.

He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Carolyn V. Kelley.

Visitation will be at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 567 North Main Street, Hemingway, SC at 1:30 PM on Sunday, August 8, 2021 with a 2:30 service at the church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be in Garden of Devotion Cemetery, Johnsonville. Because of COVID, the family asks that masks be worn.
