Annie Laurie Hughes Marsh, 76, wife of Jack Marsh, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at MUSC in Charleston, SC.

Mrs. Annie Laurie was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Eddie DuRant Hughes and Thora Venters Thompkins. She was a member of Ringle Heights Baptist Church.

She enjoyed cooking, fishing, being in the mountains, going to the beach, socializing, making people laugh, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jack Marsh, children, Jackie Newell, Chris Marsh, and Nicole (Kevin) Capps; grandchildren, Brock (Brooke) Newell, Rosalyn (Blake) Graham, Bradley (Paigelyn) Newell, Madison (Bunny) Capps, Kinsley Capps, Riley Capps, Morgan (Jason) Stevenson, and Garrett Marsh; great-grandchildren, Eastin Newell, Brentley Newell, Greer Newell, Miles Rogers, Kaisley Newell, and Wilder Stevenson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, March 31, 2023 in the Hemingway First Baptist Church, Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery, 860 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Friday, March 31, 2023 in the Hemingway First Baptist Church, 200 E. George St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
