Hemingway, SC

Ariel Cole Ingraham Brockington, 93, long-time Hemingway resident and widow of Wendell F. "Penny" Brockington, passed away at Summit Place Assisted Living in Anderson, SC on June 2, 2023.

Mrs. Ariel was the only child of the late Preston Arail and Elizabeth Cannon Ingraham.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Hemingway First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Ariel is survived by daughters Katherine B. Smith of Philippi, WV and Sherrell B. (Chris) Crawford of Anderson, SC; three grandchildren Rob (Sarah) Smith, Wendy S. (Scott) Warden, and namesake Andrew Cole (Amanda) Crawford; and great-grandchildren Jace and Avie Warden.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ariel was predeceased by an only son, Wendy Brockington.

The Reverend Dave Patterson will conduct a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Highway, Johnsonville, SC.  The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
