Barbara Dale Eaddy, 72, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, July 12, 2026. The daughter of George Taylor Eaddy and Annie May Shaw Prevatte, Dale was born on January 7, 1954, in Cambridgeshire, England.

Dale was raised in Hemingway, SC, but was most recently of Swansea, SC. A graduate of Hemingway High School and Francis Marion University, Dale lived a full and vibrant life. She loved history, traveling, and shopping at antique and thrift stores. She enjoyed the simple things in life like ice cream, seashells, flowers, birds, and books. Above all though, Dale loved spending time with her family.

Dale is survived by her daughters, Laura Rogers, Belle Davis (José), Tavish Watts (Eric), and Bonnie Swingle (Fred); grandchildren, Tera, William (Kaydey), Josie, EJ, Makenna, Victoria, and Bee; great-grandchildren, Liam and Leeland; her sisters, Beth Welch and Carol Eaddy; step-siblings, Jimmy Prevatte and Gene Prevatte; and many nephews and nieces. Dale was predeceased by her parents; step-father, James “Jim” Prevatte; step-sister, Sherrill Senseney; son-in-law, Aaron Webster; grandson, Alistair Coleburn; and nephew Brian Welch.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Swansea, SC, on Saturday, August 15, at 2:00 pm. Family will receive visitors in the fellowship hall after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, PO Box 427, Swansea, SC 29160.
