Barbara Folk Hammond, 83, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at her home in Charleston.

Ms. Hammond was born in Bamberg County, SC, a daughter of the late Lonnie and Cora Lee Harter Folk. She was a member of Kingsburg Baptist Church and was retired from Tupperware. She graduated from Bamberg High School class of 1954 and she enjoyed politics, movies, theater, travel, and reading.

Surviving are her children, Susan (Arthur III) Hammond Stubbs and Eric Hammond; grandchildren, Arthur IV and Andrew Stubbs, Erika (Blake) Hammond Johnson and Bianca (Chris) Hammond Comerford; great-grandchildren, Graham Johnson, Katy and Bryan Comerford; a special niece, Jan (Charles) Sandifer Graham and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Folk Connelly and Mary Folk Kinsey; brother, Thomas Eugene Folk.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Kingsburg Baptist Church, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, S.C.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Kingsburg Baptist Church, 1730 Old River Road, Johnsonville, SC 29555
