Barry Dean Collins, 59, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at his home.

Barry was born in Georgetown, SC, a son of the late Johnnie O'Neal and Margie Lewis Collins and was the grandson of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Lewis. He was a graduate of Pleasant Hill High School and retired after 19 years as a conductor for the CSX Railroad. He enjoyed gardening and rebuilding motorcycles.

Surviving are his daughter, Krista Collins; brothers, Bruce Collins and Blaine Collins; step-children, Cassie Altman, Philip Balcom and Shana Balcom; nephews, Neal Collins and Nicholas Collins; niece, Shaine Collins; grandchildren, Lakelynn, Brooklynn, Sawyer, Oliver Knox, Ethan and Savannah.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, September 7, 2017 in the Morris Funeral Home in Hemingway, SC.

The families will receive friends from 4:30 PM until 6:00 PM Thursday, September 7, 2017 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554, and at other times at the home of Cassie Altman, 515 Myrtle Wood Lane, Johnsonville, SC 29555.
