Betty Bell Boone Thompson, 88, widow of John Eleba Thompson, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Betty was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Luke and Lillie Bell Ray Boone. She enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers and animals, fishing, cooking and feeding everyone but most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her children, Charlton (Geneve) Thompson, Sr. and Annette Thompson (David) Parker; grandchildren, Charlton (Christie) Thompson, Jr., Candace (Jim) Brown, Summer (Nathan) Baxley, John Boone (Tiffany) Thompson, Ivie Parker, and Brooke Parker; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by two brothers, Ivester Boone and Oscar Boone; sister, Evelyn Poston.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 15, 2022 in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery, 860 Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
