Betty Jean Hanna Owens, 75, widow of Daniel Willis Owens, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 in the McLeod Hospice House.

Mrs. Betty Jean was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Roy and Nadine Cribb Hanna. She was a retired tax assessor for Williamsburg County, attended Kingsburg Baptist Church, and was an avid GAMECOCK fan.

She enjoyed cooking but loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Mary U.) Owens and Randall (Mary F.) Owens; grandchildren, Lauren Owens, April Owens, Claire Daniels, Beth Shilling, and Phillip Shilling; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, William (Bobbie) Hanna and Wayne (Donna) Hanna; sister, Elizabeth Bouchette.

She was predeceased by brothers, Jimmy, Michael, and Bob Hanna and brother-in-law, Carl Bouchette.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, November 16, 2020 in the Kingsburg Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM Monday, November 16, 2020 in the Kingsburg Baptist Church, 1730 Old River Road, Johnsonville, SC 29555.
