Billy Joe Moon, 57, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 at his home.

Billy was born in Georgetown, SC a son of the late Angelo Moon and the late Ora B. Tilton Moon Bowers. He was a crane operator for the shipyard and also loved hunting, fishing, and working with his dogs but his greatest love was for his children, grandchildren and family.

He is survived by a son, Angelo (Amber) Moon; daughters, Vanessa Moon, Rachael Mauldin, Courtney Moon, Erin Moon, and Michele Joye; brothers, Johnny (Dell) Moon, and Don (Jackie Marsh) Moon; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Billy was predeceased by a brother, Michael Moon; nephews, Johnny Moon, Jr. and Johnny Moon, II.

Graveside services directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC will be held on

Friday, December 22, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Piney Forest cemetery, 18300 County Line Road, Andrews, SC 29510.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Mr. Moon may be made to Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.
