Hemingway, SC

Blondell Altman Parsons Williams, 91, widow of John Oliver Parsons and Ulysees Williams, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in a Florence nursing center.

Mrs. Blondell was born in Hemingway, SC a daughter of the late James Phillip and Laura Lousindie Parsons Altman. She was retired from the Williamsburg County School system as the Food Service Manager, a member of New Vision Free Will Baptist Church and she was an animal lover.

Surviving are her children, Margie (Roger) Tanner, Wanda (Randy) Willis, James (Linda R.) Parsons, Dell (Linda J.) Parsons, Eddie Parsons, Virgil (Betty Sue) Parsons, Ralph (Virginia) Parsons, and Roger (Darlene) Parsons; daughter-in-law, Janet Evans Parsons; brothers, Wilbur Marsh and Ed (Eileen) Marsh; sister, Mary (Roddie) Miller; 21 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doris Marsh; brother-in-law, Earl Seckinger.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Hazeleen Graham; son, John A. Parsons; brother, David Marsh; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Parsons; son-in-law, Joe Graham; sister-in-law, Jackie Marsh; brother and sister-in-law, Marion and Grace Tunstall; great-granddaughters, Emma Calcutt and Sage McClam.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 7, 2018 in the New Vision Free Will Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be in the Parsons Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the New Vision Free Will Baptist Church, 2616 Hwy. 41/51, Hemingway, SC 29554.

In lieu of flowers Memorial may be made to New Vision Free Will Baptist Church, 50 Pasture Lane, Hemingway, SC 29554.
