Buford A. "Shot" Tyler, Jr., 84, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Anderson Oaks Assisted Living Home in Conway, SC.

Mr. Shot was born in Hemingway, a son of the late James Hannibal and Florrie Adele Moore Tyler. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Hemingway First Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and doing jigsaw puzzles of any type.

Surviving are his children, Algernon (Leigh Ann) Tyler and Penelope (Chuck) Timbes; grandchildren, Garrett Tyler, Jackson Tyler, Sarah Ann Tyler, Brittany Timbes, and Austin Van Den Wijngaard; brother, Floyd (Joyce) Tyler; sisters, Johnnie Ruth Altman, Vera Mae Altman, and Mary Ann Young.
He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Loretta Cox Tyler; brothers, Holland Tyler, Hadrian Tyler, William Hannibal Tyler, and B. W. Tyler; sisters, Victoria Rogers, and Janell Cribb.

Funeral services will be held at 5:30 PM Sunday, June 10, 2018 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Hemingway with burial in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM Sunday, June 10, 2018 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
