Burnie L. Poston, 82, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the Heritage House of Florence, SC.

Mr. Burnie was born in Johnsonville, SC, a son of the late Jolly R. "Chunk" and Eulee Barnhill Poston. He was a Charter member of the Mill Branch Free Will Baptist Church and was a former Trustee of the Church. He was the retired owner of Burnie's Fox Trot and was also a retired farmer. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, loved fox hunting, and was an excellent marksman shooting birds on the wing. But most of all he loved being out and enjoying nature.

Surviving are his children, LaRice Burnie (Tammie) Poston and Lisa Poston (Michael Dale) Hanna; brother, Odell (Doris) Poston; six grandchildren, John (Kerri) Bourne, Brook (Jessica) Poston, Amber B. (Sam) Friar, Russell (Kristen) Bourne, Brystal (Reggie) Bailey, and London Barnhill; 9 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Christopher, Thomas, Miles, Hayden, Sara, Jackson, Savannah, Sadie, and future great-grandson, Noah.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Lee Wise Poston; son, Burnie Burnette Poston; daughter, Landis Poston Carmichael and son-in-law, M. Randall Carmichael; eleven brothers and one sister.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, 10 AM August 22, 2017 at Mill Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM Monday, August 21, 2017 at Mill Branch FWB Church, 224 Evans Road Johnsonville, SC 29555.
