Hemingway, SC

Camilla "Cam" Prosser Lawrimore, 86, widow of Willie "Billy" Lawrimore, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020, in the McLeod Hospice House.

Mrs. Cam was born in Bamberg, SC, on August 4, 1933, a daughter of Ernest William Prosser, Sr., and Pearl Chandler Prosser Hyman. She was a devoted member of Hemingway First Baptist Church where she was a loyal follower of God and prayed faithfully. She was a member of the Women's Missions of the church, where she directed the bell choir, played the piano and organ for years, as well as played for funerals at Morris Funeral Home and other events in her community.

She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, worshiping the Lord and having Sunday dinner at the Shady Rest with her family and friends. She always made time for anyone that would talk to her. In her earlier years, you could find her at the Vital Aging of Williamsburg County for Seniors spending time with those who meant so much to her.

Mrs. Cam is survived by her sons, Jay (Rebecca) Lawrimore and Chuck (Denise) Lawrimore; daughter, Cami (Terry) Thompson; granddaughters, Sydney Lawrimore, Emily Lawrimore, Ashley (Caleb) Harrelson, Lindsey (Cory) Pagano, Kaley (Garrett Nevin) Lawrimore; grandson, Jamie Thompson; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Emma Pagano.

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be private due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family WILL NOT be here but anyone wishing to view Mrs. Cam the funeral home will be open from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM Today, Wednesday, April 8, 2020.
