Mr. Carol S. Altman, Sr., 81, husband of Vera Mae Tyler Altman, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 in Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Altman was born in Johnsonville, SC, a son of the late Otwell and Iona Humphries Altman. He was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing,
watching Nascar and football.

Surviving are his wife, Vera Mae Tyler Altman; daughter, Daphne Altman (Richard) Stiglbauer; son, James David Baxley, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Patricia S. Baxley; brother, James V. (Billie) Altman; sister, Bobbie Jane Baxley; brother, Warren (Ruenette) Altman; brother, Mike (Anne) Altman; grandchildren, Rachel (Jeremy) Britt, K.C. Altman, David A. (Amanda) Baxley, Whitney (Stephen) Smith, Cory Baxley, and C.J. Webster; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Carol S. Altman, Jr., daughter, Sandra Baxley Webster, grandson, Carol S. Altman, III and a brother, O.D. Altman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 18, 2017 in the Good Hope United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC,
will be in the Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery,7547 Pleasant Hill Drive,
Hemingway, SC, 29554.

The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Friday, November 17, 2017 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 North Main Street, Hemingway, SC 29554.
