Carol Joye Port, 82, widow of Homer Lee "Teet" Port, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Port was born in Hemingway, SC a daughter of the late Aaron K. and Gladys Carmichael Joye. She was a retired waitress and a member of the Cornerstone Church of God. Mrs. Carol loved going to Church and working for the Lord but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Carol is survived by her children, Homer L. Port, Jr., Larry D. (Brenda) Port, Jackie Lee (Melvin) McDaniel, Vickie Jean (Tony L.) Martin and Patricia Ann Port; 8 grandchildren , 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Don Joye, Aaron Joye and a sister Shirley Coker.

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 26, 2022 in the Cornerstone Church of God, 600 E. Broad St., Hemingway, SC 29554. Burial will be in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery, 846 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, March 25, 2022 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
