Carolyn Hearn Palumbo, wife of Edward M. "Ed" Palumbo, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Mrs. Carolyn was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Hugh Fuller and Lenora Venters Hearn. She was a successful business woman who was known by voice and face at "The Chic Restaurant" in Johnsonville. SC.  She was an avid reader who maintained a huge home library.  Mrs. Carolyn was a "#1 Grandma all the way around" who enjoyed spending as much time with her family as possible.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edward M. "Ed" Palumbo; children, Michael (Linda) Palumbo and Stephanie Palumbo Gore; grandchildren Alex Palumbo, John Palumbo, Brennon Gore, and Hayden Gore; and sisters, Dixie Hearn Evans and Valerie Hearn Eaddy.

Mrs. Carolyn was predeceased by a sister, Lavonia Olsen and a brother, "Little" Hugh Hearn.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 18, 2024 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive family and friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday, January 18, 2024 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
