Carolyn E. Stalvey, 63, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at her home.

Carolyn was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Tommy Jene Stalvey, Sr. and the late Mary Belle Cox Stalvey. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Andrews. She retired from Andrews High School after 28 years as a Physical Education Teacher and Coach. She coached, Basketball, Volleyball and Softball and they won two back to back State Titles in Softball in 1980 and 1981. She was Conference Coach of the Year in Softball for the years 1980, 1981, 1982 and Conference of The Year in Girls Basketball in 1986 and 1987.

She enjoyed family get togethers, sports, spending time with family and friends, and she loved animals of all types but especially dogs.

Surviving are her brothers, T. J. (Terri) Stalvey, Jr. and Reid (Cherie) Stalvey; nephew, Ryan (Nicole) Stalvey; nieces, Amie (Witte) Cribb, Amanda Stalvey, Brittney Stalvey and Katelin Stalvey; great-nephew, Tucker Cribb; great nieces, Parker Stalvey, Karter Cribb and Ella Stalvey. She was predeceased by a brother, Brad Stalvey and her two pet dogs, Misty (her Angel) and Buffy (her best friend)

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, July 6, 2017 in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 205 South Rosemary Ave. Andrews, SC 29510. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, 247 E. Trinity Road, Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
