Carrie Bell Howell Owens, 80, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at her home.

Mrs. Carrie Bell was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Nathan Theodore and Blanche Ray Howell. She was a homemaker and a member of Freedom Tabernacle. She enjoyed working with the flowers in her yard.

She is survived by a sister, Cornelia Prudice Ray and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, John William Owens and her son, William Kirk Owens, brothers, Charles Edward Howell, Roger Dale Howell, Larry Howell, David Earl Howell, and Nathan Theodore Howell and her sisters, Faye Elizabeth Hewitt and Betty Jean McKenzie.

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home, will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, October 3, 2022, in Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 86 Williams Hill Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.

Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 11904 Pleasant Hill Dr., Hemingway, SC 29554.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday, October 2, 2022, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
