Catherine Howell Poston, widow of Therrell Poston, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at her home.

Mrs. Catherine was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Sampson and Ella Parsons Howell. She was retired from Hemingway Apparel, a member of the Mill Branch Free Will Baptist Church, Ladies auxillary, and was the Sunday School Teacher in the Nursery for over 30 years.

She loved her family, shopping, the mountains, Southern Gospel Music, but she was the happiest with a baby in her arms.

She is survived by her daughters, Penny Poston, Paige (Michael) Lambert, and Monica (Neal) Elliott; grandchildren, Ethan Poston, Aven Glover, Renzley Lambert, Tucker Lambert, Courtney Elliott, and Cory Elliott; great-granddaughter, Ella Kate Johnson; brother, Sam (Donna) Howell; sister, Margie Dunahoe; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Frances Poston; brothers, Marion Howell, Jimmy Howell, and Richard Howell.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in the Mill Branch Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 250 Evans Road, Johnsonville, SC, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, May 11, 2020 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
