Cecil Dupree Hanna, 84, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Cecil was born in Johnsonville, SC a son of the late O.W. and Myrtle Cooper Hanna. He was a member of Word of Life Church and the Johnsonville Masonic Lodge #365.

Throughout his life he worked as a carpenter in the construction industry.

He enjoyed working with his hands, was a jack of all trades, but most of all loved spending time with his friends and family especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Erma Jewel A. Hanna; children, Delwynn Hanna and Sharon (Kelly) Edwards; grandchildren, Ricky (Michele) Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Abigail Hanna, Alijah (Lindsay) Hanna, Cody Nations, and Kacie Nations; Great-grandchildren Axel Byrd, Brandon Thomas; sister, Cheryl "Honey" (Jimmy) Williams.

Mr. Cecil was predeceased by his first wife, Laura Jean Eaddy McDaniel Hanna, second wife, Renell Bazen Thompson Hanna, daughter, April Hanna Nations, and brother, Andy Hanna. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lake Chapel Cemetery, 960 Lake Chapel Rd. Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Friday November 8, 2024 in the Morris Funeral Home, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105
