Cecil Eugene Tyler, 83, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Cecil was born in Florence county, a son of the late Frank Valentine and Louise Parrott Tyler. He was retired from International Paper Co. a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Engineer Division of the US Army having served during the Korean War. He loved farming.

Surviving is his wife, Nina Carter Tyler; children, Lutricia (Martin) Winarski, Byron "Pedro" Tyler, Clayton (Janice) Tyler, Sheila Edwards, and Cecil Lynn (Jackie) Tyler; sisters, Ronell Moore, Alice Bartlett, and Juanita (Bayliss) Elliott; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son-in-law and 2 great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 10, 2019 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 2380 S. State Hwy. 41/51, Hemingway, SC 29554.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday, February 10, 2019 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
