Charles R. Blanton, 73, husband of Jennifer "Mickey" Brockington Blanton, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Charles was born in Gaffney, SC, a son of the late Albert X. and Myrtle Campbell Blanton, He was a retired Crew Supervisor for the Maintenance Department of the Santee Cooper Winyah Generating Station in Georgetown, SC and was also a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Nesmith Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, enjoyed reading and studying his Bible but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jennifer "Mickey" Brockington Blanton; daughters, Christina B. Moore (Michael) and Angela Santaniello (Andy); grandchildren, Alaina Moore, Shaine Moore, Levi Moore, Evan Santaniello, and Laurel Santaniello; brother, Steve Blanton (Deana); sister, Karen Way (Nick); sisters-in-law, Jessie Blanton and Faye Brockington; brothers-in-law, Johnny Brockington (Phyllis) and Michael Brockington; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Jeff Blanton; brother-in-law Frank Brockington.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, October 17, 2021 in the Nesmith Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday, October 17, 2021 in the Nesmith Baptist Church Cemetery, 2836 Nesmith Road, Nesmith, SC 29580.
