Charles Allen Mobley, 74, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Allen was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Charles Moody and Jannie Tallulah Poston Mobley. He was a life-long resident of South Carolina who retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a Civil Service employee. It was in that role that he had the opportunity to travel abroad to places like Scotland and Spain. The thing he enjoyed most in his later years was his home and property in Alvin and watching Fox News. Some of his past passions included logging, camping, fishing, and barbequing.

He is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Dean Mobley and his brothers, Wayne Mobley and Legrand Mobley.

He is survived by his sons, Timothy (Molly) Mobley and Christopher A. Mobley; grandchildren, Todd, Travis, Maddy, Christopher, Ashley, Mycalea, and Kirsten; one great-granddaughter, Lakely; one sister, Linda Hill; two brothers, Norris (Harriet) Mobley and Ricky (Lisa) Mobley.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at

3:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the Bloomingvale Baptist Church Cemetery, 7652 Thurgood Marshall Hwy., Andrews, SC 29510

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the church cemetery.
