Charles G. Overcash, Jr., 83, widower of Elaine Tanner Overcash, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Charles was born in Danville, VA, a son of the late Charles Gurney Overcash, Sr. and the late Hattie Mae Ozment Overcash. After working at the Wellman Combing Co. in Johnsonville, SC, for a time Charles and his family moved to Aiken, SC where he worked for Universal Manufacturing. He later returned to Johnsonville where he worked with Industrial Contractors until he established Metal-Fab & Contractors, Inc. and retired as President of the Company.

Mr. Charles was an avid golfer for most of his life and after his retirement he enjoyed living at the Lake, boating, and spending time with his special friends at the Goat Island Restaurant.

Surviving are his sons, Jon Dale (Cynthia) Overcash and Raymond Bradley (Carol) Overcash; grandchildren, Raymond Bradley Adam (Andrea) Overcash, Shane Jasper Overcash, Hunter Lee (Logan) Overcash, Shannon Overcash (Randy) Taylor, and Jesse James Overcash; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Overcash Weaves and Helen Overcash Turner.
He was predeceased by a son, Charles Gurney Overcash, III; sisters, Marie Overcash and Inez Overcash Adkins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the Morris Funeral Home, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
