Hemingway, SC

Charles Terry Thompson, 61, husband of Camilla "Cami" Lawrimore Thompson, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 in a Florence hospital.

Terry was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Joseph Melvin and Eunice Evans Thompson. He worked at Wellman Industries as a Line Technician in the Fiber Division, and he also worked for Boggs Road Construction and attended the Hemingway First Baptist Church.

He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Camilla "Cami" Lawrimore Thompson and a son James Robert "Jamie" Thompson; brothers Dean (Helen) Thompson and Glen (Donna) Thompson and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Maron Thompson.

Memorial services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 15, 2023, in the Hemingway First Baptist Church, 200 E. George St., Hemingway, SC 29554.

The family will receive friends 2:00 PM till 3:00 PM the day of the service.
