Cheral Yvonne Thompson, 51, wife of David "Brad" Thompson passed away at Embrace Hospice of South Carolina, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on June 10, 2025. A daughter of the late Wesley Parrott and Yvonne McKnight Stone, Cheral was born on September 28, 1973, in Florence, South Carolina.  She worked as the branch manager for the Aynor Public Library.

Cheral was a woman who found joy in creativity and connection. She enjoyed creating handmade gifts and projects which she shared with others. With each item made, she gave a small part of herself to another.  In addition to crafting, she enjoyed sitting with a good book and could often be found reading.

Cheral was a committed member of her community.  She gave her time and energy to causes close to her heart and was always striving to make a positive difference. This was always evident in her attendance and participation at Hickory Grove Baptist Church.  Above all, family was central to Cheral's life. She found her greatest joy in spending time with loved ones and nurturing the bonds that meant the most to her.

In addition to her husband and mother, Cheral is survived by a daughter Evelyn (Jeremy) Prosser; a son Anthony Thompson; sisters Terri Filyaw and Erica Stone; and brothers Johnny Parrott and Blake Stone.

In addition to her father, Cheral was predeceased by a brother, Stoney Parrott.

A memorial service will be held Sunday June 15, 2025 at 3 PM in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel 416 N. main St. Hemingway, SC 29554.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment, directed by Morris Funeral Home, will be in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, 114 E. Trinity Rd. Johnsonville, SC 29555
