Connie Hayes Powers, 60, widow of James Bryan Powers, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023, at her home.

Connie was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late John Eli and Annie Ruth Powers Hayes. She enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, keeping her grandchildren, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her children, James Ryan "Rabbit Runner" Powers, Carrie Marie (Clint) Miller, and Jill Kimberly (Brent) Poston; Grandchildren, Braylee Nicole Poston, Jacob Reade Poston, Carter Marie Miller and William Cade Miller; brother and sisters, Franklin (Debbie) Hayes, Ida Ruth "Pigeon" McCutcheon, and Mary Ann (Ronnie) Altman.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, November 2, 2023, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Hemingway, SC with burial in the New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 4221 Sheminally Rd., Pamplico, SC 29583.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29583.
