Constance "Connie" Carter Nettles, 75, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 in a Florence hospital.

Ms. Connie was born in Charleston, SC, a daughter of Macy Bailey Carter McLendon and the late Henry Fred Carter. She was a retired cosmetologist and a member of Westside Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, shopping, cooking, and laughing.

Surviving is her daughter, Tamra (Kim) Thaxton; mother, Macy McLendon; sister, Teresa Watson; grandson, Curtis Thaxton; 4 great grandchildren; special niece, Denise McLendon; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the Westside Free Will Baptist Church, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the Florence Memorial Gardens, 3320 S. Cashua Dr., Florence, SC 29501.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, May 7, 2018 in the Westside Free Will Baptist Church, 530 Vox Highway, Johnsonville, SC 29555.
