Curtis L. Allen, 83, widower of Julia Rae Ard Allen, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Curtis was born in Bennettsville, SC, a son of the late James Covington and Myrtle Elizabeth Lewis Allen. He was a retired welder and a member of the New Vision Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving is his children, Bobby (Barbara) Allen, Mickey Evans, Loriann (Joe) Lane, and Danny (Dee) Allen; 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Mae Rouse.
He was predeceased by his wife, Julia Rae Ard Allen; brother, James Earl Allen; sister, Annie Louise Kelly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in the New Vision Free Will Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 2380 S. State Highway 41/51, Hemingway, SC 29554.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at New Vision Free Will Baptist Church, 2616 S. State Highway 41/51, Hemingway, SC 29554.
