Hemingway, SC

Don Norton Cribb, 88, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018, at his home after an illness.

Mr. Don was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Theophilus "Ronie" and Susie Owens Cribb. He was a retired Maintenance Superintendent for Georgetown County Roads and Bridges. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a US Air Force veteran during the Korean Conflict and was also in the SC National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, anything outdoors and his horses.

Surviving are his children, Donnie (Donna) Cribb, Jean (Robin) Vaughn, Rev. Craig (Sharon) Cribb, and Jackie (Jay) Poston; grandchildren, Jamie, Vernon, Tyler, Justin, and Gary Cribb, Michael Vaughn, Micki King, Christina Ray, and Katie Mathis; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Sue (Kelly) Howell; brother, Bob (Carol) Cribb.
He was predeceased by his wife, Clara Mae Bazen Cribb; brothers, Arnie Cribb, Sr., Rev. Themos Cribb, Wendell Cribb, Clifford Omega Cribb; sisters, Ila Lane and Delores C. Waller.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, July 16, 2018 in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, July 15, 2018 in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Family Life Center, 11904 Pleasant Hill Dr., Hemingway, SC 29554.
