Don K. Poston, Sr., 76, husband of Vera Carter Poston, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Poston was born in Johnsonville, SC, the son of Oscar and Ettie Parrot Poston. He was a retired Truck Driver, a member of New Life Ministries, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving is his wife Vera Carter Poston; children, Donna (Doc) Collins, Deloris (Stacy) Turbeville, Angela (Jimmy) Barnhill; grandchildren, Josh Collins, Jeffrey Collins, Jennifer (Tim) Strawbridge, Hunter Barnhill, Macy Barnhill, and honorary granddaughter, Amanda Wise; Sisters, Dorothy McKenzie, Damarys Hood, and Yvonne Hoffman.

He was predeceased by a son, Don K. Poston, Jr. and a number of brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 14, 2018 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be in the Lake Chapel Cemetery, 860 Lake Chapel Road, Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main Street, Hemingway, SC 29554.
