Hemingway, SC

Doris Perry Tanner, 95, widow of Ozie Eugene Tanner, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 in a Florence nursing center.

Mrs. Doris was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Marie Perry. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking, canning, quilting, working in her garden but she was best known for her wonderful personality.

She is survived by her children, Gene "Hawk" Tanner, Kerry "Tink" Tanner, and Donna Tanner Hanna; daughter-in-law, Gloria Tanner; grandchildren, April Tanner, Andy (Ben) Tanner, Devin (Nikki) Hanna, Dustin (Jennifer) Hanna; great grandchildren, McKenzie Hanna, and Trinity Owens.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Bart Tanner; daughter-in-law, Pam Tanner; son-in-law, Larry Hanna.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1760 Pope Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.
