Dorothy Rogers Gordon Wise, 92, widow of George Dallas Wise, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 in Florence.

She was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Tommy R. and Pearl Abrams Rogers. She was a member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church in Lake City and she enjoyed playing the Piano and reading her Bible.

Surviving are her children, Lynn (Arthur) King and Harry (Vicky) Gordon; 4 grandchildren, Rev. Allen (Alison) King, Jim (Beth) Gordon, Rev. Robert (Julie) Gordon, and Jessica (Chris Ringley, PharmD) Ringley; great-grandchildren, Michael Allen King, Lacey Gordon, Luke Gordon, David Gordon, Andrew Gordon, Caleb Gordon, and Ava Ringley; step-children Ronald (Nancy) Wise, Brenda (Francis) Partin and Sharon (James) Fennell; step-grandchildren, Christie W. Henderson, Ronald Wise, Jr., , Michael Carroll, Melanie C. Crawley, Mark Carroll, Bryan Fennell, Tiffany Fennell, and Amanda F. Morris; 11 step-great-grandchildren.

She was first married to the late Harris W. Gordon; predeceased by brother, Reetus Rogers; sisters, Sedalia Pope, Sarah Cook Humphries, and Pauline Pope; twin grandsons, John Adam and James Lee King.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM Monday, June 19, 2017 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM until 5:00 PM Monday in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
