Mrs. Dorothy H. Grier, 90, widow of Harvey Grier, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 24, 2017.

Born July 25, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen Altman Hanna. She was a former member of the Midway Baptist Church. At present, she was a member of Twin Cities Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are two daughters ---Joan (Dean) Weaver of Pamplico and Judy Miller of Hemingway, 5 grandsons and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 "special friends" ---Gloria Cagle and Tracy Prosser, and a sister, Leila Mae Lyerly of Johnsonville,

She is predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 26, 2017 in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Highway, Johnsonville, SC. The family will receive family and friends at the Cemetery after the service. Mrs. Grier will lie in state from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM Saturday and from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM Sunday at Morris Funeral Home, 416 N. Main St., in Hemingway, SC.

The family would like to thank Agape Hospice for the care given to Mrs. Grier. A "special thanks" to Gloria Cagle and Tracy Prosser, who were like daughters to her.
