Edna Gaskins Hartfield, 87, widow of David Wylie Hartfield, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 in a Florence nursing center.

Mrs. Edna was born in Johnsonville, SC, a daughter of the late Courtney and Nealie Stone Gaskins. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking "three times a day", taking care of the community children along with raising her on children.

She is survived by her sons, Meck (Patricia) Hartfield, Randy (Carolyn) Hartfield, Ronnie (Lesi) Hartfield, Phillip (Amber) Hartfield, Jody Hartfield, and Paul (Leslie) Hartfield; daughters, Loretta (Randy) Huggins, Bonnie Hartfield, and Amy (Robbie) Gregory; brothers, Mayo Gaskins and Larry Gaskins; sister, Betty Sue White; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by two brothers, one sister, and a grandson.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2019 in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, 114 E. Trinity Road, Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, June 14, 2019 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
