Edward Michael Lusch, 62, widower of the late Kathleen Ann Flanagan Lusch, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday March 22, 2020.

Edward was born on December 23, 1957 to the late Edna B. Bechtal Holloway and the late William G. Lusch in Willow Grove, PA, where he lived until around 2006 when he decided to pursue his dreams of living down south in the warmer weather and be closer to his beloved joy "NASCAR." Ed was a graduate of Springfield High School and began his schooling at Penn State where he was only 1 credit away from becoming a police officer. Although he did not graduate from Penn State he did continue his education in his mid-thirties and finally graduated from Montgomery County Community College with a degree in Design Engineering.

Edward was not only a dedicated husband, father, and G-POP to his wife, two children, and six grandchildren. He also took on the responsibility of being a father figure for one more in the late 1990s. He was an extremely hardworking man who strived to make a great life for his family. Ed was also a father to many dogs over the years, most recently Chumlee, Roxey, and Diesel. His dogs were his life. Ed liked to invent things and he was always looking at how to improve them. One thing everybody knew though was he was somewhat obsessed with NASCAR and cooking. Ed enjoyed going to the races and cooking for everyone. If he wasn't able to attend the race it would be on the TV with surround sound. He was an avid collector of NASCAR memorabilia with a collection of well over 3,500 pieces. He enjoyed using his time off of work volunteering with his son at a local racing shop and became part of their pit crew. Cooking and baking were also a huge part of his life. Ed was always in the kitchen whipping up some creation. The kitchen was definitely his happy place. He loved to go all out in the kitchen and to feed anyone he could. Ed's most favorite thing ever occurred on 2 holidays. The first was Halloween. For almost 10 years he was home to the Quigley Mansion. He would work from August to October turning his home into the best haunted house in the neighborhood. He was very proud of what he had accomplished. His other favorite holiday was Christmas. More than anything, Ed enjoyed dressing up as Santa and visiting the children in the neighborhood. He volunteered for Filmore Heights in Hatboro, PA for well over 15 years. He started doing it for his grandchildren, but Santa was always in his heart.

He is survived by his partner, Marcy Steinlauf: daughter Danielle Lusch (Jason Stevenson); son William "Baker Man" Lusch; adopted son Christopher Muller. He was a proud G-POP to his 6 grandchildren: Aliyah, Kayla, Jason, Jr., Trevor, Julian, and Emeric.

Ed was preceded in death by his step-father Col. William Holloway; brother, Sgt. William G. Lusch Jr; sister, Linda L. Lusch Lilthnel.
