Hemingway, SC

Elizabeth Anne Grier Wiggins, 77, widow of Jimmy Wiggins, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 in a Georgetown hospital.

Mrs. Elizabeth was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late James Clifford and Pauline McDaniel Grier. She was a homemaker and enjoyed dancing and talking, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family.

Surviving are her daughters, Letha (David) Martin, Maria (Marty) Owens, Diane (Lee) Hammonds, Stanley (Shannon) Wiggins, and Jonathan (Heather) Wiggins; brothers, James (Wally) Grier, Joe Grier, and Rodney (Teresa) Grier; grandchildren, David Martin II, Chris Martin, Keith Graham, Garrett Owens, Danielle Foxworth, Megan Legerlotz, Craig Legerlotz, and 4 great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by brothers and sister, Charlie Grier, Larry Grier and Sara Hucks.

Memorial services will be held 11 AM Saturday, January 13, 2024 in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery, 846 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 Pm until 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the home of Rodney and Teresa Grier, 367 Berk Ginn Rd., Hemingway, SC 29554.
