Emma Jane Poston, 86, widow of Merland Liston "Mert" Poston, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at The Palms at Florence.

She is the daughter of the late Capers Judson Dennis and Sullie Snipes Dennis. She was retired from Tupperware as a quality control agent. She was a member of New Vision Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed cake decorating, gardening, sewing, cooking, and bird watching, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her children, Bruce (Kathy) Poston, Terry Poston, Vicki (John) Bass, and Ronald (Beth) Poston; daughter-in-law, Ramona Poston; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Judy (Linda) Dennis, George (Ruth) Dennis, Louiser Parnell and Ella Harbison; and sisters-in-law, Shelby Kelly and Joan Watson.

She was predeceased by a son, Merland Alvin Poston; grandson, Capers Liston "Casey" Hutchinson, and eight siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday October 13, 2024 in the New Vision Free Will Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be at Mill Branch Cemetery, 250 Evans Road, Johnsonville, SC 29555.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday in the New Vision Free Will Baptist Church, 2616 State Hwy. 41/51 Hemingway, SC 29554.
