Esther Cribb Grier, 87, wife of Sammie Grier, Jr., passed away Sunday, November 25, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Esther was born in Georgetown, SC, a daughter of the late Earl and Minnie Lowrimore Cribb. She was a homemaker, a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing and playing the piano.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Sammie Grier, Jr.; children, Barry Grier, Gail (Ricky) Hicks, Roger (Keith) Grier, and Sam Grier; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Edith Hope Powell.
She was predeceased by 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and 2 grandchildren.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 5542 Carvers Bay Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.
