Fay King Gaskins, 81, husband of Ellen Stone Gaskins, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 in a Florence hospital.

Mr. Fay was born in Hemingway, SC, son of the late Dudley R. and Effie Lee Weaver Gaskins. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church and was a graduate of Midway High School. He had worked for Stuckey Brothers Parts, Napa Auto Parts and New Holland Tractor in Hemingway and Andrews. He was an avid sportsman with a love for coon hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed doing mechanic work, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ellen Stone Gaskins; children, Theresa Gaskins, Linda (Joel) Bruce, and Troy (Julie) Gaskins; grandchildren, English (Josh) Nesbitt, Jacob (Haleigh) Gaskins, and Hailey Gaskins; great-grandchildren, Stella Nesbitt, Jake Gaskins, Colton Gaskins, Miley Nesbitt, and Key'Lee Sparks; sister, Glenda G. McLeod and a brother, Larry (Sandra) Gaskins.

He was predeceased by a brother, Carl Gaskins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Hemingway, SC with burial in the Midway Cemetery, Chair Rd., Hemingway, SC 29554.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
