Frances Morris Tanner, 83, widow of Don A. Tanner, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Mrs. Frances was born in Johnsonville, SC, a daughter of the late Habert W. and Essie Altman Morris. She was a retired Teacher having taught in Williamsburg County Schools, a graduate of Johnsonville High School and received her BA in Education from the University of South Carolina.

She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, taught Sunday School for over 20 years and was also a member of the Three Rivers Historical Society. She loved her flowers and gardening.

Surviving is her children, Ken (Cindy) Tanner, Chris (Sue) Tanner, and Luanne (Jim) Graham; brother, Barry (Phylis) Morris two sisters, Betty (Larry) Latta and Cheryl (Jack) Scott; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2019 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2019 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1760 Pope Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.
