Frankie Jean "Shug" Altman Elvis, 81, widow of James Alton Elvis, Jr., passed away Monday, September 5, 2022 in the McLeod Hospice House.

Mrs. Frankie was born in Johnsonville, SC, daughter of the late Franklin Eldridge Altman, Sr. and the late Darlyene Hanna Altman. She retired from Johnsonville Elementary School District #5 as a Teachers Aid and was a member of the Prospect Independent Methodist Church.

She enjoyed yard work, water gardening with the Koi/Goldfish, enjoyed flowers, and reminiscing as a former All State Basketball Player. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, school activities, and teaching children.

She is survived by her son, James Alton "Tripp" (Brandon) Elvis III; brothers, Jimmie S. "Pomp" (Nina) Altman, Jerry Lynn "Horny" (Betty) Altman, and Danny Ray "Mack" (Cindy) Altman; grandchildren, Ashtin Johnny (Lauren) Elvis, Austin O'Neal Elvis, Carter Evan Beard, and Addison Lee Beard and a great-grandchild, Sawyer Ashtin Elvis; sister-in-law, Brenda Altman and her toy poodle Sebastian.

She was predeceased by a son, Johnny Austin Elvis; and an infant son; a brother, Franklin E. Altman, Jr.; and a sister, Carolyn Altman.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2022 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Eaddy Ford Cemetery, 481 S. Eaddy Ford Rd., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2022 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
