Freelan Mitchell "Mickey" McClellan, 79, husband of Katrena Goude McClellan, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024.

Mickey was born in Georgetown, SC, a son of the late Freelan Richard and Lucile Harrelson McClellan. He was retired from International Paper as a general mechanic and was a former member of the SC National Guard. He was a member of the Good Hope Methodist Church where he had served as Lay Leader and Lay Speaker as well as many other positions.

He enjoyed boating, music, and shagging. He loved his animals, his church and his family, but most of all he loved to make people smile.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Katrena Goude McClellan; Brothers and sister, Wayne (Donna) McClellan, Jeff McClellan, and Cathleen (Terry) Buchanan; niece, Laura Castiglione; brother-in-law, Eddie Joe (Vanessa) Goude; nieces, Savanna Goude, Susanna (Bob) Christenbery, and Joanna (Mac) Kowaleski; great-niece, Ava Kathleen Christenbery.

He was predeceased by a sister, Lynda Castiglione.

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in the Good Hope Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery, 7547 Pleasant Hill Dr., Hemingway, SC 29554.

The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Good Hope Methodist Church, 7547 Pleasant Hill Dr., Hemingway, SC 29554.
