Hemingway SC,

Gracie Eaddy, 85, widow of Reginald J. Eaddy, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026. Born on January 10, 1941, in Brittons Neck, South Carolina, she lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family and friends.

Gracie was the cherished mother of Regina (Steve) Skinner and Bobbie (Phil) Allen. She was a proud grandmother to Adam (Brittany) Skinner, Alex (Brooke) Skinner, Harley (Hannah) Ard, and Taylor (Ashley) Ard. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren Drake Skinner, Reece Skinner, Auden Skinner, and Ivy Ard. Gracie also leaves behind her beloved sisters-in-law Helen Tanner, Loretta Cox, Sherry Redmond, and Annette Cox; brother-in-law Shad Eaddy; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special friend and caregiver Ann Matthews.

She was predeceased by her brothers Wardie Woodberry and Eugene Woodberry and her sisters Christine Hughes, Berlene Perry, and Doris Baxley as well as her son-in-law Jimbo Ard. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Gracie found immense joy in tending to her flowers—a reflection of the care she poured into every aspect of her life. Her greatest passion was caring for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a devout member of Ebenezer Methodist Church.  She loved deeply and selflessly, creating a home filled with warmth and affection.

May Gracie's memory bring comfort to all who knew her. Her love will forever bloom in the hearts of those she touched. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 6, 2026, at 03:00 PM at Ebenezer Methodist Church. A Visitation will be held on May 6, 2026, from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Ebenezer Methodist Church 1760 Pope Rd. Hemingway SC, 29554. Burial Directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway SC, will be held in the church cemetery.
