Gregory Allan Parker, Sr. 53, of Hemingway, South Carolina, passed away on February 9, 2026, in Hemingway. A son of Tracy Allen Parker and the late Louetta Jean Turner, Greg was born on August 31, 1972, in Florence, South Carolina.  He spent his life rooted in the communities of the Pee Dee region where he will be remembered by those who knew him for his skilled hands, his competitive spirit at the pool table, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved.

A graduate of Johnsonville High School, Greg went on to complete vocational school classes where he honed his skills in electrical work. His dedication to his craft led him to a career as an electrician with Ruiz Foods in Florence, South Carolina. Known for his talent and precision, Gregory was especially gifted in electronics and enjoyed working with his hands—whether it was wiring a system or tinkering under the hood of a car.

Gregory was an avid pool player and could often be found at Yank's, where he participated in numerous tournaments. His love for the game was matched only by the camaraderie he shared with fellow players. Whether competing or simply enjoying a casual game, Gregory brought passion and focus to every match.

Above all else, Gregory cherished his family and enjoyed every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.

Greg is survived by his children:  Gregory Parker, Jr., Matthew (Ornela) Parker, Tiffany (Nigel) Martin, and Alexis Parker; his grandchildren:  Jacelynn, Caden, Skylar, Lakelynn, Nickolas, Bailey, and Gabriel; his father, Tracy (Chris) Parker; a grandmother Linda "Nanny" Hughes; siblings:  Talmadge (Angel) Turner, Tina (Kevin) Capazzi, Jenny (Steve) Powell; aunts:   Michelle Powell, Mavis (Bill) Riley, Judy Hodge, and Shirley Baxley; and uncles:  Bruce (Linda) Parker, Johnny Parker, Danny (Ramona) Parker, and Andy (Vernessa) Parker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Greg was preceded in death by his mother Louetta Jean Thompson Turner; paternal grandparents Mack and Lillie Belle Parker; maternal grandfather Johnny Roberts; and aunt Wanda Thompson Poston.

A Memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2026 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM.
