Nesmith, SC

Hannibal "Bo" B. Nesmith, 86, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 4, 2018 in the Nesmith Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Nesmith was born in Nesmith, SC on March 10, 1931. He was the son of the late Dr. Charles S. Patrick and Cora B. Turner Patrick and Mr. Hannibal B. Nesmith, Sr. and Mrs. Nathanene N. Williamson. He was loving reared by his paternal grandfather, George Walter Nesmith. He was an Air Force veteran, successful farmer, long dedicated and supportive member of Nesmith Baptist Church. He was a beloved husband, father and Poppa.

He is survived by wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Wall Nesmith; children, Roslyn (Lenton) McGill, Randal (fiancé, Lori Dauthe) Nesmith, and Rhonda (Shannon) Daniel; grandchildren, Grant (Megahn) Nesmith, Elizabeth Jane Daniel, Catherine Nesmith, and Julia Daniel; predeceased by sisters, Carolyn N. Tobin and Betty N. Dunagun.

He is survived by half siblings, Jean (Larry) Poston, Ronald (Jo Anne) Nesmith, Nathan (Connie) Nesmith, Phyllis (Tim) Scott; predeceased by a half brother, Joseph Nesmith.

The family will receive friends after the service in the Nesmith Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 2836 Nesmith Road, Nesmith, SC 29580.
