Harriette Cribb Eaddy, 92, widow of Rufus M. Cribb,  passed away peacefully at her home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

A daughter of the late Wilbur and Vivian Altman, Harriette dedicated much of her life to hard work and family.  In addition, she lived and worked much of her life in the community in which she was born.  Harriette worked as a machine operator at Tupperware Manufacturing in Hemingway, where her diligence and commitment were evident throughout her career.  She was a longtime member of Huggins Chapel Southern Methodist Church in Hemingway, where she found strength through her faith and church family.

During her spare time, Harriette enjoyed working with her hands.  She took great pleasure in quilting and created beautiful pieces that reflected both skill and love. Her garden was another source of pride which allowed her to work with her hands.  Harriette found the garden to be a place where she could nurture plants while also finding times of peace and reflection.

Harriette is survived by daughters, Nikki (Cyrus) Parker, Cindy (Carroll) Eaddy and Anita Martin; son, Nicki L. Cribb; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Billy (Bertie) Altman; and sisters:  Judy A. Patterson, Patricia Thompson, Priscilla Pigate, and Lynn Hickman.

In addition to her husband and parents, Harriette was preceded in death by two sons: Tim Cribb and Roger Dale Cribb; siblings: Richard Altman, Mike Altman, Faye Graves, and Sybil Thompson; and grandchildren: Nicki Louis Cribb, Jr., Dale Cribb, Yvette Cribb, Shane Cribb, and Gale Cribb.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N Main Street, Hemingway, South Carolina, 29554.  Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will take place in the Old Johnsonville Methodist Church Cemetery located at 846 S, Georgetown Highway, Johnsonville, South Carolina, 29555.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral services from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N Main Street, Hemingway, South Carolina, 29554.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Huggins Chapel Southern Methodist Church.
