Scott Ewing, 76, widower of the late Linda Kay Palitz Ewing, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2026, in the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, South Carolina.

Scott was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Harry Shippen and Joan Kane Ewing, on January 11, 1950. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Levittown, Pennsylvania.  He earned his teaching degree at Penn State University and a Master’s Degree from Temple University. His passions were playing golf, reading, music, and sports.

He is survived by his two daughters Kelly Ewing and Jennifer Ewing; his sister, Joan Marie Ewing (Richard A.) Bilson; his two brothers, Patrick (Amy) Ewing and Craig James Ewing; and his grandchild, Paloma Ewing as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 10, 2026 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel located at 416 N Main Street, Hemingway, South Carolina, 29554.
